2025 Honoree: Jim Covell

jim covell

James Covell has been a devoted supporter of Camp Pa-Qua-Tuck for over 50 years, first attending the fundraiser at age 18, drawn to the camp’s unwavering commitment to children with special needs and the remarkable sense of community it fosters. For the past two decades, he has proudly sponsored Fuoco Golf feastival hole on behalf of RBC (Royal Bank of Canada), where he serves as a Managing Director.

A native New Yorker and proud Long Islander, James has dedicated his life to charity and service, supporting organizations such as the American Cancer Society, Pink Aid, One-to-One Learning, The Road Forward, and Doctors Without Borders. However, none are as personally meaningful to him as Camp Pa-Qua-Tuck, where his connection to Steve, Jean, and their family has become like his own. For Jim, the camp represents home, heart, and hope. James has been married for 40 years to Jackie, an advocate for children with special needs. He is the proud father of Andrew (with his wife, Sarah) and Kelly (with her husband, Chris), and grandfather to four beloved grandchildren. Today, his children are also involved in Camp Pa-Qua-Tuck’s golf outing – carrying forward a legacy of service and love for this special place.
